Colorado Deptartment of Corrections
As a volunteer chaplain for the CDOC, I serve the spiritual needs of the staff, retirees, and their families. This is through correctional facility visits, leading teams through various exercises, and meeting one on one with individuals.
Colorado Springs Fire Department
As a volunteer chaplain for CSFD, I serve my local community when a death has been experienced and first responders were called to the incident. The time between any life saving efforts from first responders, and a visit from the county coroner's office, is often the most difficult to understand with shock often in full swing accompanied by unpredictable emotions making any coherent thoughts seem impossible. As all other agencies are doing their job, I am able to be fully present to the needs of the family and friends as they navigate these first few hours of a new reality.
There are also celebratory moments with convocation prayers.
